Photographer - Educator

To be an effective teacher of photography it is important to continue developing as a photographer.  My students will create more interesting work when I am a fully committed photographic artist.  Developing new bodies of work furthers my abilities to inspire and guide them.

Isaac Newton wrote, "If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.”  Newton was able to discover more about the universe than others, because he was working in the light of discoveries made by fellow scientists, either in his own time or earlier.

The shoulders of the giants I stand on are:

Imogen Cunningham, Laszlo Moholoy-Nagy, Edward Weston, Josef Sudek,

Irving Penn, Paul Outerbridge, Andre Kertesz, and Charles Sheeler

The work contained in these galleries is inspired by those Giants.

These images are a blending of original photographic images and AI processing. I begin with a simple still-life of a few geometric shapes - edit a bit in Adobe Lightroom and then process the images using prompts entered into Firefly.
